NeuFit / Neubie Therapy

The Neubie, short for Neuro-Bio-Electric Stimulator, is an FDA-cleared, direct current (DC) electrical stimulation device that represents a significant leap forward in physical rehabilitation and performance. Unlike traditional electrical stimulation devices that use alternating current (AC), the Neubie’s direct current technology allows for deeper, more precise tissue engagement and significantly faster results.
Arlington PT is proud to offer Neubie therapy as one of our most advanced and in-demand treatment options. Since introducing the device, we’ve seen outstanding patient outcomes, and it continues to be one of our most requested services.

How the Neubie Works

The Neubie follows a proven three-step process:
Step 1

Identify

Your therapist uses the Neubie to perform a full-body mapping, identifying areas where the nervous system is restricting movement or muscle function. These areas often feel intensely sensitive, similar to a trigger point, and pinpoint where treatment is needed most.
Step 2

Reset

Using targeted electrical stimulation, manual muscle activation techniques, and specific exercises, your therapist recalibrates the nervous system, reducing overprotective reflexes and restoring proper muscle function.
Step 3

Breakthrough

With the nervous system reset, patients are able to access their full range of motion, strength, and capacity for pain-free movement that was previously limited by neurological patterns. Many patients experience noticeable improvements in a single session.

What Makes the Neubie Different?

Traditional electrical stimulation devices use alternating current (AC), which tends to affect the surface of the tissue and can be uncomfortable. The Neubie uses direct current (DC), which:
Penetrates deeper into tissue for more targeted healing
Stimulates specific muscles and nerves with greater precision
Provides faster pain relief by targeting neurological roots
Accelerates recovery from injuries and surgery
Promotes stronger muscle engagement and reduces atrophy
Enhances tissue healing without damaging the skin

Who Can Benefit From Neubie Therapy?

Patients with chronic pain that hasn’t responded to other treatments
Athletes and active individuals recovering from injury
Post-surgical rehabilitation patients
Seniors seeking to improve strength and mobility
Patients with muscle weakness or neuromuscular dysfunction
Anyone looking to accelerate their recovery and get results faster

FDA-Cleared and Backed by Science

The Neubie is FDA-cleared as a Class-2 medical device and is indicated for neuromuscular re-education, pain management, increasing range of motion, improving local blood circulation, preventing atrophy, and managing post-surgical and post-traumatic pain. It requires the supervision of a licensed practitioner.
NOTE: Neubie therapy is contraindicated for patients with a cardiac pacemaker or who are pregnant. Therapist will review medical history prior to treatment.

- Dan Linehan
Started here with some leg/knee issues after hurting myself while training for a half marathon. After working the Laney and TJ for a few weeks, I’m back to 100%! They were very knowledgeable, professional, and personable and made the recovery process as enjoyable as it could be. They did a great job of listening to me and addressing the cause of the issue and not just the symptoms. They also equipped me with tools to help me stay healthier in the future. I definitely recommend coming here for your PT needs!
